DESSO, a leading European provider of carpets and carpet
tiles to world markets is one of the first members of the new
Circular 100 ('CE100') business network, a three year programme
aimed at bringing together 100 leading companies globally to drive
forward the development of circular economy models.
The circular economy offers a way to build
sustainable and competitive business models that generate wealth
based on a more regenerative and less wasteful use of natural
resources.
The Circular 100 programme is being launched by the
Ellen MacArthur Foundation, which has already published two reports
with McKinsey & Co. showing that there the circular economy has
the potential to generate $1 trillion of economic
opportunity.
Desso, which has been developing a circular economy
model since 2008 based on its Cradle to Cradle® commitment, will be
involved in sharing its experience and knowledge across a three
year period through workshops and an annual summit.
Other companies joining the new network include
Coca-Cola, IKEA, Nespresso, M&S, Morrisons and Ricoh. For more
